Teeth

Its funny that just weeks ago, We would look at Lucy's little gummy toothless grin and think that she couldn't get any cuter. Chad would love it when she would gum his fingers and now suddenly there are two little white teeth poking thru those gums and we think, oh my how cute, she couldn't possibly ever be any cuter!

Not much going on

Life has been going way too fast. Lucy has been finding her voice. She's always making new sounds. And she has TWO teeth! She had been cranky the week before Easter and I couldn't figure out what her problem was till I looked in her mouth Friday before Easter and say the raised bumps. One broke threw and then the other, they are still coming in but she has been much happier. She could have been happier sooner if she would have let me give her some medicine, but she would lock her jaw and clamp her little lips together and not let anything through! She must not have gotten the Emery love for meds DNA.
We've been giving her baths almost every night and she seems to be loving the water and floating toys.
I gave her a pickle. It was pretty funny, because she would make a face and then try and eat it again.

Easter

Lucys first Easter! We went to Jerome for the day, and just relaxed. the Easter bunny came, and brought a new toy for her, golf stuff for Chad and a purse and shirt for me. She got her toy a bit early but what can I say I was so excited!
She has figured out that she can roll around to where she wants to go, in the pictures below she had rolled and wiggled over to Frank. and as you can tell Frank is just thrilled to say the least.

Guess who is 6 months old!

Can't believe its been 6 months! Chad was wanting to pierce Lucy's ears since we left the hospital, but I made him wait till she was 6 months. So today we went to Caliente Salon and got her first set of earrings! It was rather nice since we got to go in a private room where there weren't other mothers watching us, and did the "deed," I was worried it would make her look older and that she would throw a huge fit. But neither happened, she does look different but as you can see in the picture her cheeks are so big you can't really see both earrings at the same time. She was a real champ too, only screamed twice and she was done. She even smiled at the guy that did it.
She is also standing in her new walk about toy, I found it at Other Mothers for a steal of a deal! And she seems to love it already.
Last picture is the monthly car seat picture, its fun to see how much she has grown.

Spring is almost here

Lucy and I went to Twin Falls for the weekend. We got to stay with Nicole, Frank and Luke, and Grandma Kim was up to. We got to go see the Easter bunny, fly kites at the park and learn to play a new game. Lucy and Luke can't quite play together yet, but maybe sometime soon.

St Patricks Day

This week we have had some good news. Chad has had several job offers! yay! Lucy continues to grow, we have been giving her lots of tummy time to try and encourage her to roll over, but she is just not having it. I have tried to put toys just barely out of reach and she could care less. She will try and reach and then gives up and looks for something else closer to play with or gives up completely and looks around... what to do! Naps were a bit of a struggle for a little while. She has realized she can take out her pacifier, so she'll get tired and take it and then she will randomly pull it out and cry because she wants it back. I have figured out that if I give her a toy to hold on to and then put her pacifier in her mouth it goes a lot easier. She seems to have her likes and dis likes with food already. Squash goes down quickly and easily while peas take much longer with some encouragement. It was also her first St Patricks Day! She and Shammy both wore green.
Its funny to think that its been almost 6 months and whenever she cries in public I look around for the crying baby before I realize its mine!

Swing Time

Its been a crazy couple of weeks, We found out that Chads company is closing its Boise office and leaving him unemployed. So to say the least its been a little stressful, but we have found the time to try and enjoy the little moments.
The last couple of weeks Lucy has found her feet, started to feed herself mum-mums. She watches the dogs from her bouncer, sometimes she grunts and jumps at them, its SO cute. She has also started to sleep longer.
Roo and Crystal came to Boise this weekend and we all went to the park to play. It was Lucy's first time in a big swing. She seemed to like it. The girls played quite a bit. Lily kept trying to tuck her in and Avery kept kissing her and trying to hold her hand. So cute! I can't wait till they all get bigger and can really play.
In honor of my Dad Lucy has sock monkey PJ's, So I took some pictures of her on the blanket the last gift he gave her.
I think we over stimulated her by having four of us trying to get her to smile, on top of that she was trying to watch Lily swing next to her.
