May

It's been a fun fast month!
She is a happy kid. Got her school pictures back, they're pretty cute. I have to admit there is a certain feel and look to them. She doesn't quite look like herself. She looks a little nervous, but it is rather adorable.
I made her a little castle hide away in her room. She insisted on sleeping in it so I gave up making her sleep in her bed and put her crib mattress in it, she now sleeps very happily every night.
She is getting harder to distract. And she remembers things for much longer periods of time.
I came home from Las Vegas and picked her up. On the way home I mentioned that I had a surprise for her. So she says to me "oh! A surprise! I'm so excited! Is it a hand bag? or...no? I replied its a surprise you'll have to wait till we get home to see, and she says "Is it ponies?! or...no?" So I said again, its a surprise, we're almost home. You'll have to wait to see, she then takes a quick inhale and says "Is it pink!... or no?".
She is very observant. She notices My little ponies, Princess anything or really any character merchandise from a mile away.
I took her to the zoo for the first time this year. She loved it! She even fed the goats! I was very proud of her too for going down the big slide by the monkey cages. There were lots of kids and she normally freezes up and decides not to do whatever all the other kids are doing, but she hiked up there and then stood by the side, gripped the chain fence and looked at me scared till a nice little girl stopped the boys behind her and let her go down by herself.
She has opened up her comfort zone quite a bit, I use to take her with me to work every now and then for a client or two, she would hang out at my station with us and color or play with my ipad, just content in her own little world. Now she talks to my clients and tells them her favorite color and asks them what theirs is. Wants us to watch her twirl and jump. It makes me laugh how she suddenly opens up and just talks and talks.
She is a smart little thing. She is aware of when she throws tantrums and fits. And will apologize about it after wards. I hear that it shows remorse and its a good thing. Its pretty cute, and very sweet. It almost makes you want to give into whatever the fit was about! ALMOST
I found princess gold fish crackers, They're pink- I sang the song- I love goldfishes they're so delicious, so now whenever she is eating anything she says "This is so delicious" (pronounced alicious or salicious)

Easter

Easter weekend was BUSY. Lucy was cute and kept saying Christmas is over, so its Easter. This is a blessed little girl. On our way to Twin, we stopped at my old salon, and Grammy Randi had a surprise for her- Lulu the lamb. Lenny's scenty friend. Lucy was pretty funny laughing nervously. We got in the car and she wanted to know when we would be home so Lulu and Lamby could play.
I had to get dental work down in Twin. So we started the weekend early with her cousin Lily. They got to play all evening and color eggs. The next day we went to see the Easter Bunny at the mall. She was really excited and kept asking me what color his eyes were, I kept telling her it would be a surprise when we got there. When we got there she was super happy and said "look! His eyes are blue!". I asked her if she wanted to sit on his lap and she said yes, but the closer we got in the line the bigger her eyes were. It was finally her turn and she got up on his lap, and didn't know what to do with her hands, it was so funny. She would fold them and then put them down on her lap and the touch her dress. Until I asked if she could hold an egg. She got super quiet and took an awkward photo. We left, got in the car and she says to me, "that was so much fun!" She's a funny kid.
That night her Auntie Missy, and cousins Ashley, Emma and Josh came up to our house to hang out and play for the weekend. We went to Kline Park like we did last year, there were big bouncy houses and a huge egg hunt. They even had a little musical play and Easter bunnies sky dived in. She didn't really get the snatch and grab thing, She would pick up and egg and inspect it before picking up another one, I just stood over a few eggs and let her pick them up. After that there was a party with the Peeps across the way at The Village, where she got a free balloon, peep on a stick and colored a puppet. We came home and Lucy had a blast playing with her cousins.
The next morning the Easter Bunny came, and we had a small egg hunt around my back yard. She still didn't run out and grab them. The bunny had hid the the night before and it rained. So they were wet and had some grass clippings on them. She was rather upset and wanted them dried off before picking them up, but with some encouragement and promises that they would be dried off later started picking them up.
We had a nice little Easter lunch and Missy and the crew had to head home.
We then went to a friends house and had dinner and another egg hunt. They had a granddaughter that is about the same age, and they were instant buddies. Chasing each other and screaming together. They also had a little egg hunt for the girls. I think Lucy picked up on the snooze you lose. Her little friend took off and grabbed a few right in front of her. And then she realized she had to find them and grab them before anyone else. After wards they opened their eggs and found money, candy and stickers. She was super cute and shared her stickers with everyone.
It was a fun Easter. I think next year we will try and focus a little more on the spiritual part of it all. It was a good year. Lucy asked me today why Easter had to be over and what was is now? She catches on pretty quick.

April

It has been another month already! Lucy is doing so well.. Her teachers  love her, and tell me that every day she is there is a good day.
She loves dance class and love to dance in general. We have dance parties in the kitchen when I'm cooking dinner and she loves it.
She likes to try and block Frank in the kitchen. She will move chairs and toys to make a barricade to keep Frank in, I don't think Frank really notices since he just walks under the chairs and goes to his bed, leaving Lucy confused and trying to figure out how he got out.
Lucy has started having longer conversations. And tells stories. She doesn't quite get the concept of time yet. She tells me about things we did all the time and refers to it as "yesterday"
She is a little OCD. If her clothes get wet. She cries and wants to change or wipe it off and complains/talks about how it will dry or it needs to dry or how I need to wash it because its wet.
Her on going love for My little Ponies is fun. They have started to have longer conversations and she likes to "drive" them to play at the park. Though she has a couple sets of ponies, miniature, medium, large and a few stuffed. I've noticed that if she isn't playing with the miniature ones she is playing with just the Pinkie pie ponies, or Shutterfly or Rarity ect.
Lucy has had some spring allergies. Poor kid, she'll wake up and come get me to tell me she has boogers in her nose.
She still loves to read and look at books. She has a handful of books almost memorized. I love hearing her read to her toys. One of her favorites is Go Dog Go. So when I drive she will say "we turned left" or "is the light green? Go dog go!" And whenever I stop she'll add in "the light is red now, stop dog, stop". She will also comment on when I speed up saying "oh, we're going fast now" or ask why we're going faster. I have a back seat driver at the age of 3...how did that happen?
She is also starting to get more opinionated. And notices everything- When people say they are little sponges at this age it is no exaggeration.
Lucy had her first school pictures taken this month! I'm excited to see them. I asked her how it went and she told me that the man would make funny faces and say funny things so she would laugh and the he would take her picture. I'm happy it was a fun experience.
She got a strider bike this month, they are made to help kids find their balance and pick up pedal biking faster. She was pretty funny on it. Telling me this is horrible. She also jumped and threw the bike down and said look "I'm Papa!" It was not a big hit.
Lucy quotes of the Month
"are you my mom?"
Every time Mittens runs outside Lucy gets sad and I say "don't worry he will come back" and then when she shows back up I say "see, he came back!" So the other night Mittens reappears and Lucy says "Mom! It's Mittens!" and I said "I know! What do I always tell you?" and she in a very stern voice and points her finger at me and says "You be nice to him, or he run away from you" I had to stifle a laugh, but managed to say "yup you have to be nice to him, but he came back"
"The sun is awake!"
"but my eyes aren't tired"
"Hey I have an idea! Lets go pet kitties at Kimberly's house!"

Me- " You ready to go to the grocery store?

Lucy-" Yay! And then we can buy a Pinkie Pie coat"
Me-" I don't think they have those at the grocery store"
Lucy- "ahh... Why not?"

Her current favorite movie is Enchanted. The other day I told her it was clean up time and she stood up and sang " ahh ahh ahh" (like Giselle does in the movie to call animals to help her clean) and the She laughed and said "oh mamo, I'm so funny! right!"
