Daylight savings time has thrown our schedule BIG time! Lucy goes to bed around 8:30-9 and plays or looks at books till 11, when I go in and tell her to close her eyes. Her normal reply is "but mama, my eyes aren't tired" needless to say she gets up later and later in the morning. Since we didn't have to be anywhere this morning it was nice. We slept in till 930, crazy! Got up, ate some breakfast, ran around town, and went to a movie. We were going to go to the park but she crashed out on the 5 min drive to the park so we came home instead, and she slept for an hour. When she woke up she threw a fit because she couldn't get her dress off to change into a princess dress. She proceeded to scream in her room for at least 20 mins. She's had a little attitude, and has started arguing with me over everything. Being that special week of the month for me I kept thinking what is it gonna be like in a few years! urg! But over all it was a fun day. Tonight we brushed ponies hair and put them in curlers, read a few books and went to bed.
As I sit here and reflect upon my day I know it was a difficult day, but there is no where else I would have rather been. Silently I am glad she is a little stubborn, I hope I can instill the right morals and values, and the the stubbornness will help make these things stick and give her a firm foundation to build upon. I'm glad she has the spark and fire. Though it was far from a perfect day I am so grateful for the bonding time we do have over ponies and books. Those sweet quite moments are to quick and I cherish them more and more everyday.
