November

Lucy started at Just for Kids! She was getting tired of her preschool and there were a few things that were concerning me and her dad, so after looking around for months we came across Just for Kids, only she had to be 5. She has been there for a little while now and is loving it. The class size is smaller and when we come pick her up, they know where she is!
It was a fast month and we seemed pretty busy.
I picked Lucy up from her Dad's house and she had an ad of my little pony castles and things that she told me she wanted, I said that's cool and she then asked me if we could go to the store and buy them, which I said no, but you can tell Santa and see what he comes up with, so she starts yelling, I want the crystal empire castle and ... So I asked her why she was yelling in my car and she responded that she was telling Santa what she wants. When I said that hes not in the car, she said but he's always watching! Sometimes this kid is too smart!
We went as saw Santa the day before Thanksgiving, I think its turned into a tradition, the line isn't as long and we generally have more time with him. She wouldn't sit on his lap this year and got super shy when she was sitting next to him, but it was still super cute when she whispered what she wanted and ran away.
She spent Thanksgiving with her dad. We did a little craft and talked about what we are thankful for.
Upon her arrival home, I sat on the couch and passed out for maybe 3 mins to wake up to her putting "instruments" on the tree... and Sparkles the Elf showed up in her room. December is going to be fun!

October

5 YEARS OLD... how do theses things keep happening?!
I can remember wanting her so bad. I can remember life before her, but some how having her has brought so much more life and purpose to me. I can't begin to express my love for this little girl. I know time is going quickly, I think I mention that every month on here. I am trying to slow down and enjoy the time I have with her I realize that she will not be this young forever and that I wont be a central influence for the majority of her life. I need to appreciate this with her, here and now. I will admit that there are times I for get all that and get lost in the tantrum of the day, I'm sure it is something I will forever be working on.

Lucy is a performer! She sings, and dances. and if she isn't she is sitting at her art desk drawing and making something to cut out and or glue.
We started dance lessons with a new company, It seems more structured and she seems to be doing better in it.
Went to Linder Farms twice, once with the young women, we stayed out of the maze and played in the bow of corn and other things they had going on. She loves the box of corn, I'm not sure what the appeal is, I don't get it but, she has a blast, and was excited to go again and pick out pumpkins this time.
It was a busy month. I had a few races. We got ready for Halloween and played as much as possible.
We went down to Twin again for birthdays down there and got lost in a hay maze, there were slides and animals to pet.
Lucy got a package in the mail from Grandma Gala. I handed her the large envelop and she said "oh! I just love it!" I then told her there was something inside and she had to open it and she says "oh I love it even more!"
Halloween was on a Monday, so our ward had truck or treat the Saturday before where she got the haul of candy. So on Halloween we made cookies and took them around to friends. It was a fun Halloween and nice to switch it up a little.
