Redfish and up-dates

Oops! It's been awhile. Well this last weekend Lucy and I had another adventure together with the rest of the... Mosoff mash up. We went to Red fish and camped! We had a lot of fun. Some how there were wild fires 16 miles outside of Stanley and Red fish was nice and clear for the first couple of days. We got up there nice and early Thursday morning. We played in the water all day and set up camp. Friday, Nicole and Frank lent us their baby backpack and we all went on a hike... we went almost 4 miles in about 5 hours! But all the kids were troopers. Tasha, Michelle, Nicole, Mandi and I all went for a quick swim before we finished our hike. That night we went up to the lodge to have some ice cream and listen to some live music. Saturday we all got up played some games and then went down to the lake to jet ski and play in the water. I think good times were had by all. Little miss is quite the fish. She gets super wild and tries to kick and jump when she gets in the water.She was so good. She got passed around and loved by everyone. She handled it well.
Lucy started to wave! Tasha was the first person she waved to. Sometimes it sounds like she is saying hi when she waves.

Lucy is also walking around the coffee table and couches and sometimes down the hall using the wall for support. She is also a very fast little crawler. Sometimes she gets over excited and face plants. She has figured out that the dogs are always after her food. I bought some different puffs for a change, and she apparently doesn't like them because she will pick them out of her snack cup and feed them to Frank! She likes to drop food off her high chair and watch the dogs scramble after it. Shes a little smarty pants.
I love when she smiles cause she does this super cheesy grin and scrunches her nose up and closes her eyes, its so funny.She also love to sit in her room and look at books.

10 Months

Our baby is 10 months old! It's weird to think 10 months, at the same time it seems like, yeah she keeps growing and changing so 10 months is about right. She continues to explore the house. She has just started to put things in her mouth and pack them around, I wonder if she learned that from Frank. We just started to put her in the real bath tub for baths. She started to stand up in the sink, and wouldn't sit so I figured it was about time anyways. She likes to shout at strangers in the grocery store but, if they talk to her first she gets shy and tries to duck down in the basket and hide. She recently has been into books.She likes to sit and turn the pages. She has also started to try and feed us her mum mum crackers. She takes a bit and then puts it up to our mouth. Its pretty cute. She pulls herself up on anything and everything. She has figured out that she can take one step from the coffee table to the couch. I am SO not ready for her to walk and have her arm range expand by that much but we shall see. :)

Mobility

Well the last couple of weeks we have been on the go. As posted below, but to keep up with little Lucy, she has decided that its time to explore the house. Seems like she is all over the place. She loves to chase the dogs and the cat. She comes as quickly as she can when the frig door or the dish washer is open. She loves to stand by the glass door and watch the dogs. She loves to get into the pantry and pull out the flour and sugar. Maybe she will love to bake like her mama. She loves to talk to herself and us. She has also started to eat pasta and bigger pieces of vegys, and she often feeds herself. Her favorite thing to eat are baby cheese puffs, she just can't seem to get enough.
Lucy loves the water. Her little pool is the best thing we have not only for her but for us too! Nothing better in the hot weather.
She also like to hide around a corner from be and bursts into giggles when I find her.
She has been saying dog a lot. I'm not sure if she for sure knows it or if she is just mimicking the word I make but its fun. it also sounds like she says mama and sometimes dada.
She is able to crawl and sit up by herself and likes to walk around the sofa and stand under the kitchen table and try to grab Mittin when hes sleeping on a chair.

Busy Times

What is going on! We have been to Jerome and back several times. We needed to get out of Boise for the weekend. So we went down just to relax and hang out. Lily and Lucy had fun on the swings. Lily would push Lucy and she just loved it.
 Lucy and I got to go to Utah weekend before last with part of the Emery clan to pick up Julie and her kids from the airport and spend the day at Lagoon. We jumped in with Roo, Crystal and Lily.Got to go eat at In n' Out (heck yea!) and had a great day at Lagoon. Lucy was like a little clock when it came to her normal routine. It was wonderful!
This weekend we headed to Jerome for some more family fun. Alicia, the girls and I headed down early, hoping to get the girls to sleep... hahaha that was a joke but its always nice to have some girl time and I bet the boys didn't mind at all after the car ride we had! We made some yummy dips and fruit pizza for our little Olympic party, which ended up being more of a family catch up time. We also got some cousins in the bath time.
Saturday, Brad, Alicia and Roo and Crystal (Plus girls) and us got tickets to see The Blue Angels. It was hot but not to unbearable. I think the pile of ice towards the end was the biggest hit :)
After that we met back up with Julie, Dean, Joan and the kids at Dirkys Lake for some swimming and kayaking.We were all more than ready to get cooled down. Lucy loved the water. She would kick and splash and totally wore herself out.
Sunday the boys got up super early and headed out for some golf, then we met up, had lunch and hit the water again. I think we all had our fill of the sun for one weekend. Can't believe how pooped I am!

July is here

It's July! And it is a hot one out there! We have been trying to stay cool, running errans in the morning and hanging in the pool in the afternoons.
Lucy has started to pull herself up on everything. We just lowered her matteress today. I watched her have a close call on the monitor and decided it was time.
She has also become rather vocal. Constaint jibber jabber and yelling. If I stand up to get her more food she yells at me as if to say where are you going, She seems like a bottomless pit.
I laid her down for a nap today and she decided to pull herself up and cry. So like any good mom I thought I should take a picture or two, and as the camera started to flash she stopped crying and decided that it was funny. Pictures are below it was too cute.

4th of July

Grandma and Grandpa Emery came up for the day. We got to kick back and take it easy all day. We headed up to the garden city rim and watched the fire works in the back of the truck.

9 Months!

9 months here and gone! I can honestly say, I LOVE being a mom, I love the toys on the floor, hanging baby clothes to dry, watching her learn new things, seeing her light up when I come home or when Chad comes home. I don't mind the sleepless nights, it make me feel needed, I don't mind the poopy diapers or the boogers on my shoulder, I love all the sounds, the happy and the sad. I don't want to ever forget the quiet moments. The quiet moments are when I tell myself to try and take in every detail. I love watching her grow, her chubby thighs and tiny toes. I love when she hugs me when I get her out of her crib and cuddles when shes tired. I know its weird but I love when she tries to suck on my face because shes hungry, or she bites my shoulder.
Its been a rough week, Lucy had her first flu bug. Poor girl a "low grade" fever, a booger filled nose and a cough. It was sad but kind of funny cause she would cry and sound horse at the same time.
she started to crawl a couple of weeks ago. Her motivation was chasing the dogs, she will get over to their bed and bug them and then they both get up and run away, over to the other side of the room where they will wait for her to crawl over there. back and forth all day its pretty fun to watch.
She has not only gotten super mobile by crawling around but she just started to pull herself up.
Its funny to put her down for a nap now, because she moves all over the place and then curls up in a corner.
She also has 8 teeth! The last three decided to come in all at once, about two weeks ago.
